How it reads your statement
Statements downloaded from online banking contain real text, not just a picture. The converter reads that text right here in your browser, finds each line that starts with a date and ends with an amount, and joins descriptions that wrap onto a second line.
It works out whether money went in or out from the statement itself: separate withdrawal and deposit columns, section headings like Deposits and Withdrawals, or the running balance. Statements that only show the month and day get the year from the statement period, including statements that run from December into January.
What works today
WorksChecking, savings and credit card statements downloaded from online banking, from US banks and many others. Multi-page statements, password-protected PDFs, and both month-first and day-first dates.
Not yetScanned or photographed paper statements, which are pictures with no text inside, and investment statements.
Always check the totalsCompare the money in and money out shown above the preview with the summary on your statement before importing. If they match, every transaction was found.
Who uses it
Bookkeepers catching up on a client's books, accountants preparing tax returns, lenders and brokers reviewing an applicant's statements, and business owners who need history their bank no longer offers as a download. Anyone who would otherwise retype transactions from a PDF.
Yes. Convert statements to Excel, CSV or QuickBooks with no sign-up and no watermark.
Which banks does it support?
Most banks, credit unions and card companies whose statements you can download as a PDF from online banking, in the US and elsewhere.
Can I convert several statements at once?
One statement at a time for now. Each conversion takes a few seconds.
Is my bank statement uploaded anywhere?
No. The PDF is read inside your own browser and never sent to a server. That includes the password if your PDF has one.
Does it work with scanned statements?
Not yet. Scanned statements are pictures with no text inside. Download the statement from your online banking instead, which gives a PDF with real text.
What if a transaction is missing or wrong?
Compare the totals with your statement. If something's off, try changing the date format setting, or tick Reverse signs if money in and out are swapped. Banks lay statements out in many ways, so a few layouts may not read perfectly yet.
